Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to advance control system design and modernization projects for nuclear plants, including SMR initiatives. You will lead and support projects with a focus on technical execution and project management, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to bring assignments to completion.

You will investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve a wide range of controls engineering

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years in I&C design engineering; at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support control systems projects across PLC/DCS/HSI with PM focus.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to complete projects.
• Investigate and resolve a wide range of controls engineering issues.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and procurement specs.
• Interface with clients to ensure project execution and satisfaction.
• Evaluate vendor bids and witness FAT as required.
• Develop task estimates and budgets; support proposal development.
• Assist in implementing projects at client facilities.
