Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced engineer to design, modify, and analyze instrumentation and controls systems for nuclear power plants. You will work within a project team to deliver integrated, detailed system designs and support modifications to existing facilities.

Essential qualifications include a BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 7+ years in I&C design, with preference for a PE license.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET accredited program.
• Seven+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design for nuclear facilities.
• Experience selecting equipment, preparing design packages, calculations, and specifications.
• Experience with controls for low/medium voltage distribution and equipment like turbines and pumps.
• PE license preferred.

Responsabilités

• Work in a project team to design, modify, and analyze power plant controls.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve I&C issues on projects.
• Prepare and review calculations for digital and analog controls applications.
• Interface with vendors to review documents and prepare purchase specifications.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and participate in Communities of Practice.
• Attend client meetings and site walks to validate scope and satisfaction.
