Job summary

Sargent & Lundy, a leader in nuclear power engineering, seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering Leader. The role focuses on directing multi-discipline design teams for complex nuclear plant modifications, with emphasis on scope, cost, and schedule control.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years designing electrical systems for nuclear power plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group through all project phases.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing specs.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a lead role.
• Electrical system design experience including LV and MV distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead group members to ensure on-time completion of electrical engineering deliverables within scope, budget and client expectations.
• Define scope of work and deliverables (calcs, specs, drawings, design changes).
• Review status and track progress; conduct routine status meetings and submit progress reports.
• Coordinate detailed design phases and interface with other disciplines.
• Develop project scope, cost estimates and schedules for nuclear plant modifications.
• Provide technical oversight for design-change packages and procurement specs.
• Interface with client to validate scope and ensure satisfaction; mentor the group.
• Identify client needs for strategic follow-on opportunities and multi-discipline proposals.
