Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader for its Nuclear Power Group in the United States. The role combines project leadership with detailed design oversight across multi-discipline teams.

You will guide scope, cost estimates, schedules, and engineering change packages for nuclear plant modifications, while ensuring client satisfaction and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE degree required.
• 10+ years in electrical design for nuclear plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing specs.
• Experience liaising with clients/firm projects.
• Electrical system design incl. LV/MV distribution.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Detail oriented and technically thorough.
• Nuclear station badge eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group deliverables to meet technical, quality, and budget goals.
• Define scope, deliverables, and track progress.
• Review status, hold progress meetings, and report to client.
• Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces and design phases.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex mods at nuclear plants.
• Provide oversight for design change packages and calculations.
• Interface with client to validate scope and satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop group members.
• Identify opportunities for client-backed follow-on work.
• Prepare multi-discipline proposals.
