Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced nuclear power systems design engineer. You will prepare or review modification packages, drawings, analyses, specifications, and vendor evaluations for operating nuclear power plants, while supporting plant modifications and outages.

The role requires travel to client sites and lead engineering teams, with opportunities to interface with clients and present engineering status.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree required.
• PE license is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Prepare functional mechanical drawings and drawings for plant systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses to support plant modifications and operation.
• Prepare technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Study options and evaluations for plant modifications.
• Lead engineering project teams and interface with clients.
• Travel to client sites or Sargent & Lundy offices for design reviews and field verification.
