Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Group. You will design, analyze, and modify electrical systems for existing nuclear plants, working within project teams to ensure reliability and compliance.

Responsibilities include preparing design change packages, performing detailed electrical calculations, interfacing with clients and vendors, and supporting field verification and construction coordination.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years in electrical design for industrial applications, with focus on nuclear plants.
• Experience selecting equipment, materials, and preparing design packages.
• Experience with low/medium voltage distribution, transformers, generators, relays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage scope and budget.
• Must be able to obtain nuclear site badge.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and review design change packages to install or upgrade plant equipment.
• Perform electrical design calculations: short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting, relay settings.
• Prepare equipment procurement specs and support vendor questions.
• Interface with multi-discipline teams and clients to ensure scope and satisfaction.
• Travel to client/vendor sites for design reviews and field verification.
• Support site installation activities and assist project manager to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
