Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a project team focused on design, modification, and analysis of nuclear power plant electrical systems. You will investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide range of electrical engineering issues on challenging projects.

Responsibilities include preparing design change packages, power studies, equipment specs, vendor inquiries, and site field validations.

Qualifications

Electrical engineering degree from ABET-accredited program.
Essential communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented approach to work.
Capable of being badged for unescorted access to a nuclear power station.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review design change packages for equipment upgrades.
Perform AC/DC power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, and protective relay settings.
Prepare equipment procurement specifications and vendor questions responses.
Interface with project team and client to ensure scope and satisfaction.
Travel to client/vendor sites for reviews and field verification.
Support site installation activities and project execution within budget.
