Sargent & Lundy LLC. is seeking an electrical engineer to join a project team focused on nuclear power plant electrical systems.

You will design, analyze, modify, and troubleshoot complex power systems and participate in multi-discipline interfaces with Mechanical, Structural, Civil, and I&C teams. Essential duties include preparing design change packages, performing power studies, and coordinating with vendors and clients to ensure on-time, within-budget project execution.

Formación

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• Five+ years in electrical design for industrial applications, especially nuclear plants.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing design change packages.
• Proficient in electrical system design including low/medium voltage distribution.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review engineering design change packages to install, replace or upgrade existing plant equipment to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering calculations including AC and DC power studies, short circuit, cable ampacity, voltage drop, breaker coordination, motor starting and protective relay settings.
• Prepare and review equipment procurement specifications.
• Interface with project team members from other engineering and design disciplines.
• Attend client meetings and site field walkdowns to validate scope.
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and plant site locations for construction coordination.
• Support site installation activities during project implementation.
• Assist the S&L project manager to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
