Job summary

NuScale Power is seeking an experienced engineer to perform design and stress analyses of NSSS components per ASME BPVC Section III, leveraging ANSYS and CAD tools. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in support of nuclear power systems.

The candidate will lead the NSSS Component Analysis Group, mentor junior staff, and ensure project designs meet NRC guidelines and NQA-1 standards while coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' full-time experience performing stress analysis per ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (NB/NF).
• Experience with ANSYS for Section III analyses; familiarity with design optimization and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and stress analyses of NSSS components per ASME BPVC Section III.
• Document evaluations and optimize component designs using results.
• Lead and mentor NSSS Component Analysis team; provide technical direction.
