Job summary

NuScale Power seeks a senior piping stress engineer responsible for design and analysis of NSSS pipe systems in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III and NRC guidelines. You will analyze Class 1-3 piping, provide mentoring, and develop CAD outputs with NX in a QA-driven environment.

Role requires active engagement in static/dynamic analyses, seismic and thermal effects, and collaboration with drafters to produce robust design documents. Travel as needed; remote work eligible within contiguous US.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Engineering (Nuclear/Mechanical preferred) from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in piping stress analysis.
• PE license in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex piping design and stress analysis for ASME BPVC Section III piping systems using AutoPIPE and ANSYS.
• Provide oversight and mentoring to early-career engineers in piping stress and pipe-support analysis.
• Lead design solution evaluations (re-routing, reconfigurations) to satisfy piping stress criteria.
• Prepare specifications, drawings, CAD models, and related documentation using Siemens NX.
