Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC is seeking an experienced piping stress engineer to design and analyze NSSS piping systems in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III. The role involves running AutoPIPE and ANSYS analyses, reviewing drawings, and mentoring junior engineers.

The candidate should hold an ABET-accredited engineering degree (preferably nuclear or mechanical) with 8+ years of relevant experience and a potential PE license.

Qualifications

• A BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college; Nuclear or Mechanical preferred.
• PE license in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering desirable.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant engineering experience in piping stress analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex piping design and stress analysis for ASME BPVC Section III Class 1-3 piping using AutoPIPE and ANSYS.
• Lead pipe support design and stress analysis for NF supports.
• Provide oversight and mentoring to early-career engineers in piping stress analysis.
• Prepare and review drawings, CAD models, and specifications; coordinate with drafters in NX.
