Job summary

NuScale Power, LLC seeks an experienced engineer to perform design and stress analyses for NSSS components, including pressure vessels and reactor internals, in accordance with ASME Section III and NRC guidelines. The role requires leading the Component Analysis Group and mentoring junior staff.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of ANSYS-based stress analysis experience, ASME NB/NG/NF familiarity, and proficiency in CAD.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, ABET-accredited; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of full-time relevant experience; must include ANSYS stress analysis per ASME Section III NB/NG/NF.
• Desirable: seismic/dynamic analysis and programming skills (ANSYS APDL, MATLAB, Python).

Responsibilities

• Perform design and stress analyses of pressure vessels, reactor vessel internals, and primary equipment supports per ASME BPVC Section III and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide NSSS Component Analysis staff; lead NSSS Component Analysis Group.
• Provide engineering oversight and coordinate multi-disciplinary design activities.
• Travel nationally as required for business needs.
