Job summary

Anthropic is seeking an NPI Engineer to own the pathway from supplier design to production-ready equipment, coordinating electrical, mechanical, and supply chain teams. You will work directly with supplier floors, test labs, and sites to ensure EVT, DVT, PVT, FAT and SAT gates are cleared before production.

You will drive early supplier engagement, define test plans, and oversee prototype builds, with travel 30–40% to factories and sites.

Qualifications

8+ years in power electronics, electrical equipment, or industrial energy systems.
At least 4 years in NPI/product development owning a product from prototype to ramp.
Experience with BESS, inverters, switchgear, or liquid cooling systems.

Responsibilities

Own the NPI program for new power or cooling products from concept to ramp.
Lead early supplier design engagement translating site requirements into product specs.
Conduct DFM/DFT/DFx reviews to ensure manufacturability at required rate.
Plan and run prototype and pilot builds with defined EVT/DVT/PVT scopes.
Qualify products for deployment with FAT/SAT and first article inspections.
Handoff to steady-state teams and support first production ramps.
Build reliability by performing FMEA/DFMEA and interpreting field data.
Coordinate cross-functionally to align schedules with campus delivery.
