Job summary

Vicor is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer in the Andover area to own critical aspects of the product lifecycle, from concept through RTP. You will drive NPI activities and work with Sales, Marketing, and Design teams to meet customer requirements and deliver robust power solutions.

You will design and validate power electronics, create test plans, and develop technical collateral for launches. A strong background in analog engineering and PCB design is essential, with opportunity

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; MSEE a plus.
5+ years in power electronics design or applications.
Strong analog design understanding and analytical approach.
Proficient in design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, LTspice, SIMPLIS, Altium, Power DC/Power SI.
Experience with high-density PCB design and PDN.
Knowledge of EMI, feedback/control systems, lab equipment for power designs.
Ability to present complex topics to diverse audiences.
Experience with digital design and Python for bench automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Strategic product definition: translate market/customer requirements into technical specs.
Lead NPI activities from concept to RTP.
Develop test plans, boards, and bench automation for system verification.
Provide design guidance for Vicor power solutions across the portfolio.
Support customers with technical proposals, reference schematics, and reviews.
Develop models/tools to help customers select and optimize power solutions.
Create technical collateral for product launches and training for FAEs and sales.
