Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Sr NPD Project Engineer to drive product realization from concept to prototype. You will lead portions of the design process, develop schedules and budgets, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, full-spec delivery.

You will also prepare test plans, review data, and interface with purchasing for components. You will work with Sales/Marketing and Manufacturing to support new and existing products, while adhering to Stage Gate requirements and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with highly technical and innovative projects; capable of solving new problems.
• 3D parametric modeling and FE analysis required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical standards and to document results.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of the design process and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Develop schedules and manage low to medium complexity projects.
• Prepare budgets and define resource needs for projects.
• Assist with Product Realization Stage Gate requirements.
• Ensure products meet specifications and promote error-proof assembly.
• Create test plans and run tests per plan.
• Prototype and test components or assemblies.
• Review test data and ensure compliance with test plans.
• Perform engineering analysis for new products and subcomponents.
• Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues.
• Document processes, materials, test results, and project activity.
• Interface with purchasing and vendors for components/assemblies.
• Provide engineering support to Sales/Marketing and Manufacturing.
• Discuss product requirements with customers when needed.
• Guide engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Maintain CAD databases and libraries.
