Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development of new products. You will guide cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to deliver on scope, schedule, and cost targets.

The role emphasizes Stage-Gate processes, risk management, and driving best practices in project management within a technical product environment. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• PMP Certification - strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in a highly technical product development role.
• Preferred experience in distribution or transmission power equipment, protective relays, or custom engineered industrial products.
• Strong understanding of lean product development, DFM/ DFA/ DFX, Six Sigma, and Lean concepts.
• Experience with PPAP and SPC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization, facilitation, and arbitration skills.
• Ownership of tasks from cradle to grave, driver mentality, and effective time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead a multidisciplinary global team in developing new products.
• Manage schedule, scope, budget, and staffing to stay on track.
• Coordinate resources and complete Product Realization Stage-Gate requirements.
• Identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks.
• Support development of PM best practices, processes, and continuous improvement.
• Review projects against goals for cost efficiency and reliability.
• Communicate project information to team, management, and stakeholders.
• Collect information for data mining and analysis to improve results.
• Prepare documentation of processes, material requirements, test results, and project activity.
