Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Senior Director of Global New Product Development to lead the global NPD engineering network across multiple locations. You will own the technical strategy, drive product development from concept to launch, and partner with Marketing, GPLMs, Project Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.

The role requires 12+ years in engineering with 5+ years in management, expertise in electrical/electromechanical design and power electronics, and strong program execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is required.
• 12+ years of engineering experience in a product development environment, including 5 years in management.
• Expertise in electrical/electromechanical design, power electronics, and systems integration.
• Proven track record leading global NPD teams through complex, technical projects.
• Strong program execution skills with planning, resource alignment, and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to interpret technical standards and communicate issues clearly to stakeholders.
• Comfortable with shifting priorities across multiple projects.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the NPD department and ensure alignment with business strategy.
• Own global NPD strategic plan, budget, and roadmaps with input from key stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor engineers across global teams and optimize NPD processes and tools.
• Develop and execute plans to increase upfront simulation capabilities and design confidence.
