Job summary

G&W Electric, Bolingbrook, IL, seeks a Sr. NPD Project Engineer - Mechanical to drive product realization through cross-functional teams and manage portions of the new product design process.

You will lead design tasks, develop schedules, prepare budgets, and ensure alignment with specifications and test plans. Strong 3D modeling, DFMEA/DOE, GD&T, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive engineering design experience.
• Experience on highly technical, innovative projects with new problems.
• 3D parametric modeling and FEM proficiency.
• Strong knowledge in mechanisms, linkages, springs, statics and dynamics.
• Ability to read/interpret technical standards and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead portions of design processes and complete assigned tasks.
• Develop schedules and manage low-to-mid complexity projects.
• Prepare budgets and resource plans.
• Create and review product realization test plans.
• Interface with purchasing/vendors and support Sales/Marketing.
