Job summary

Native American Development Corporation is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting for NADC and related for-profit entities. You will own the close process, supervise staff, and ensure GAAP and nonprofit compliance across multiple entities.

The role partners with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, while maintaining audit readiness and strong internal controls. This is a hands-on management position with cross-entity coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in nonprofit accounting and grant accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise day-to-day accounting operations for NADC and affiliated entities.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close calendar and ensure deadlines.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, allocations, and other significant accounting transactions.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, payroll accounting, fixed assets, etc.
• Ensure revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and net assets are properly coded and reported across entities.
• Resolve complex accounting issues and escalate to the CFO with recommended actions.
• Prepare, review, and supervise financial statements and management reports for multiple entities.
• Ensure intercompany accounting and consolidated reporting across affiliates.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across programs.
• Lead audit readiness, internal controls, and process improvements.
• Direct staff allocation, coaching, and development to Senior and Staff Accountants.
