Job summary

CMP Services is seeking a Network Programmer - Analyst III (Network/Systems) to support the Los Angeles Community College District. The role oversees and maintains network and systems infrastructure across the Program Management Office and multiple campus project sites, with emphasis on reliability, security, and enterprise IT support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of systems and network administration experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field; additional four years of qualifying experience may substitute for education.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent collaboration and ability to communicate non-technically.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows OS and Windows Server; DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, SFTP.
• Experience with AD/Entra ID, Office 365, SharePoint.
• Experience with VPN appliances and Cisco Meraki.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, CrowdStrike, Zoom Admin, Teams, and network security (VPNs, ACLs, IPsec, SSL).
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V and cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of Rubrik, Nessus and Splunk for security and backup.

Responsibilities

• Oversees network and systems infrastructure across PMO and campus sites.
• Configures, manages and maintains hosts, OS and storage.
• Tests, installs, configures and maintains software and network devices.
• Ensures system uptime and communicates with the team.
• Manages server-related network services to ensure availability.
• Performs proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
• Manages projects delivering services per objectives.
• Configures firewalls, Wi-Fi APs and switches; supports network devices.
• Responds to inquiries from staff and vendors with timely support.
• Develops SOPs and training materials; shares knowledge with the team.
• Researches network products and standards for procurement and development.
• Supports installations and maintenance of network systems.
• Maintains disaster recovery procedures and contingency plans.
• Performs routing, cabling and switching activities.
