Job summary

Element Consulting, based in El Segundo, CA, seeks a Programmer/Analyst III to lead network admin and operations for BuildLACCD PMO and 9 campus sites. You will manage network infrastructure, security appliances, Firewalls, VPNs, and disaster recovery while supporting tier 2/3 helpdesk.

Requirements include 7+ years in systems and network administration, a CS degree, and strong Windows Server, AD, and security experience. This role is on-site with a focus on reliability and scalability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of applicable systems and network administration experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field; additional four years qualifying experience may substitute for education.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, positive attitude and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent collaborative and team skills and ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Current Windows Servers and Internet protocols: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory Services, Entra ID, Office 365, and SharePoint management system.
• Experience with VPN Appliances and Cisco Meraki Appliances.
• Working knowledge of Enterprise Antivirus, CrowdStrike, Zoom Administration, Microsoft Teams, and network security including VPNs, ACLs, IPSEC, SSL.
• Experience with Web site, intranet, and SharePoint support, and PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with VMware, Hyper-V hypervisors, & cloud architecture
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity and privacy principles, Rubrik Backup and Recovery, and Nessus and Splunk

Responsibilities

• Configures, manages and provides technical networking support for physical and virtual environments, including hosts, OS and storage.
• Testing, installation, configuration and maintenance of OS, application software, and network device configurations.
• Ensure system up time and communicate effectively with other members of the corporate team.
• Oversees administration of systems and servers related to the network to ensure availability of services.
• Installs and configures client and server network software, and performs software upgrades as needed.
• Proactively monitors and identifies network and system issues and takes corrective action.
• Manages assigned projects to deliver services in accordance with established objectives.
• Configures, manages and provides technical support of firewalls, Wi-Fi APs, network switches and other devices.
• Responds to inquiries from staff and vendors and provides timely technical assistance.
• Develops and enforces SOPs and documents processes for knowledge sharing.
