Akamai Technologies, Inc. in Boston seeks a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer - Network to drive reliability and performance of our global network infrastructure.

You will define standards, mentor engineers, and partner with software, operations, and network teams to deliver scalable, robust solutions. You will work on SLOs, automation pipelines, and participate in design reviews, helping shape Akamai Connected Cloud, while applying deep expertise in Linux networking, CI/CD, and open-source

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant SRE/DevOps experience.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficiency with Linux networking and open-source routing software.
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner across teams to ensure reliability, scalability and usability of network infrastructure, products, and services.
• Define requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence designs and standards.
• Develop automation pipelines to support development, testing, and deployment workflows.
• Define SLOs for network infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
• Work with Dev and QA teams to improve code quality and stability.
• Mentor team members and provide architectural leadership.
