Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a Network Security Architect to design and implement the network security architecture across firewall, segmentation, Zero Trust and cloud networks, closely collaborating with engineering through implementation.

You will lead end-to-end migrations, review existing architectures, stay current on threats, and document configurations in detail while guiding security decisions for IT and business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, InfoSec, or related field.
• 7+ years in an Information Security Architect role.
• 7+ years with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Advanced knowledge of network technologies: protocols, design concepts, access control.
• Security technologies including encryption, data protection, access privileges.
• Windows and Linux systems knowledge.
• Regex and JSON knowledge.
• One or more Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA/PCNSE/PCCSE/PCSAE).
• Experience with APIs and cloud infrastructure tooling (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM).
• Experience in CSPs: Azure, AWS, GCP; DevSecOps environment expertise.
• Internal customer engagement, deploying security products; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up: firewall policy and configuration, network segmentation, Zero Trust access design, and cloud network architecture in Microsoft Azure.
• Leads technical migrations end to end: assesses the current environment, designs the target state, builds the configuration, and manages the cutover.
• Works with engineering through build and implementation, closing gaps between architecture and engineering.
• Reviews existing network security architecture, identifies gaps, and designs remediation including resolving legacy configurations.
• Assesses, scopes, and estimates work to deliver security architecture components of larger projects.
• Acts as technical expert and trusted advisor to engineering, IT, and business partners on network security design questions.
• Documents and diagrams architecture in conceptual and physical form, including underlying configuration.
• Handles RSA tickets in ServiceNow and stays current on emerging security technologies.
