Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and build the security architecture across firewall, segmentation, Zero Trust and cloud networks.

You will work closely with engineering through build and cutover, ensuring architecture aligns with implementation realities. The role requires 7+ years in information security architecture, strong cloud and on-prem experience, and CISSP/GIAC or equivalent certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years in Information Security Architect role.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and information security frameworks (NIST 800/CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Strong knowledge of network technologies and security controls.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up, including firewall policy, segmentation, and Zero Trust in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assessment, target state design, configuration, and cutover management.
• Collaborates with engineering during build and implementation to adapt design as needed.
• Reviews and remediates gaps in existing architecture and resolves legacy configurations.
• Documents architecture with configuration details, not just diagrams.
• Deals with RSA tickets in ServiceNow and tracks work hours.
