Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Network Security Architect to design and implement a robust security fabric across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work closely with engineering to ensure secure, scalable network architectures and seamless migrations from design through cutover.

You will serve as a technical expert to IT and business partners, document configurations, and stay current with evolving security technologies to mitigate risk and enable secure cloud adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years as Information Security Architect or equivalent.
• 7+ years with regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, COBIT, etc.).
• Network technologies: protocols, design concepts, access control.
• Security tech: encryption, data protection, access privileges.
• Windows and Linux knowledge.
• Regex and JSON knowledge.
• APIs experience.
• CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM or GCP Deployment Manager.
• DevSecOps experience in CSPs (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Security skills in access control, runtime defense, vulnerability mgmt.
• Experience with internal customers, architecture deployment, troubleshooting.
• Palo Alto certs required.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from the ground up including firewall policy and segmentation.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, design target state, build configuration, cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering through build and cutover, bridging architecture and implementation.
• Reviews existing architecture, identifies gaps, and remediates legacy configurations.
• Assesses scope and estimates work for architecture components within projects.
• Acts as trusted advisor to engineering, IT, and business partners.
• Documents architecture in both conceptual and physical forms, including configs.
• Handles RSA tickets in ServiceNow.
• Keeps current on emerging network security tech and threats.
