Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and build the security architecture our environment runs on, from firewall policy to cloud network design, actively participating through implementation with engineering.

The role sits in the CISO Office, reporting to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, and requires hands-on collaboration across projects rather than handoffs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• 7+ years of information security architecture experience.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, COBIT).
• Network technologies, protocols, and access control.
• Security technologies including encryption and data protection.
• Regex and JSON proficiency.
• Experience with cloud and DevSecOps environments.
• Palo Alto certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design network security architecture from ground up, incl. firewall policy and segmentation.
• Lead end-to-end migrations; assess, design target, configure, cutover.
• Collaborate with engineering through build and deployment.
• Review and remediate gaps in legacy configurations.
• Document architecture with configurations, not just diagrams.
• Stay current on threats and apply to architecture.
