Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Network Security Architect to design and build our network security architecture from firewall policy to cloud networking. You will stay engaged through implementation with engineering, not just provide a design.

Reporting to the Director of Security Architecture and Engineering, you will drive Zero Trust initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and document configurations in detail while guiding projects across on-prem and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 7+ years in information security architecture.
• Experience with regulatory frameworks (NIST/ISO/COBIT).
• Hands-on firewall, segmentation, and zero-trust design experience.
• Experience with cloud networking in Azure/AWS/GCP.
• CISSP/GIAC or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs network security architecture from ground up, including firewall and segmentation.
• Leads end-to-end migrations: assess, design, build, cutover.
• Collaborates with engineering during build and implementation phases.
• Reviews and remediates existing security architecture to close gaps.
