Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to join our Washington D.C. team. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and a strong background in enterprise IT operations within DoD environments.

You will lead monitoring, incident response, ITIL-aligned processes, and dashboard development while mentoring staff and coordinating across sites to sustain secure, high-availability networks.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• BA/BS in IT or related field; 8+ years experience; Masters with 6+ years; 4 additional years may substitute for degree.
• Current IAT LVL II certification.
• Enterprise network monitoring expertise across WAN/LAN, hardware and applications.
• Experience leading people, projects, or teams.
• Understanding of classified IT architectures and multi-site connections.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to establish enterprise event monitoring, performance monitoring, and analysis.
• Centralized operations, monitoring, reporting, management, and analysis of enterprise apps and services.
• Support ITIL-aligned event, incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Oversee incident detection, escalation, and resolution to minimize disruption.
• Manage IT workflows and processes aligned with ITIL best practices.
• Mentor and educate staff to sustain IT operations and network engineering culture.
• Develop and maintain network and system dashboards for real-time metrics.
