Job summary

Peraton in Washington DC is seeking a Network Monitoring Engineer to join our team supporting a critical national security program. The role focuses on enterprise event monitoring, performance analysis, and ITIL-aligned operations to ensure continuous, secure communications.

You will lead initiatives across sites, oversee incident resolution, and develop real-time dashboards. A TS/SCI clearance and strong SolarWinds experience are required, with a proven track record in DoD or government-grade

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• BA/BS in IT or similar with 8+ years experience; Masters considered with 6+ years.
• IAT Level II certification required.
• Expert in enterprise network monitoring (WAN/LAN, hardware, apps).
• Experience with SolarWinds design, deployment and maintenance.
• Proven leadership of people, projects, or teams.
• Ability to coordinate across sites and org boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to establish enterprise event monitoring and management, performance monitoring, and analysis services.
• Provide centralized operations, monitoring, reporting, management, and analysis of enterprise applications, systems, and core services.
• Support operational management functions ensuring alignment with event, incident, problem, and change management frameworks.
• Oversee incident detection, escalation, and resolution processes, ensuring rapid response and minimal service disruption.
• Manage and optimize operational workflows, including Event, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, aligned with ITIL best practices.
• Provide workforce education and mentoring to maintain the IT operations, IT System Administration, and Network Engineering culture across programs.
• Develop and maintain network and system dashboards for real-time operational metrics to support enterprise decision-making.
