Job summary

Agile Defense is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to enable DHS mission critical network infrastructure. You will engineer, configure, and troubleshoot WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPNs, WLAN, and perimeter security per customer standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of network engineering experience, deep TCP/IP and BGP/OSPF knowledge, and hands-on Cisco technologies. Travel up to 35% within the United States is required.

Qualifications

Ten years of verifiable network engineering experience with a large federal agency.
Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPNs and VLANs.
Expertise with Cisco technology and firewall changes.
Hands-on SDN experience with Cisco ACI or VMware NSX.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; capable of leading technical work.

Responsibilities

Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise WAN/LAN and security controls.
Provide Tier 2/3 escalation for outages and incidents; perform RCA analyses.
Plan and execute upgrades, SD-WAN transitions, and cloud interconnects (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Create and maintain Visio diagrams, topology maps, and SOPs; manage change tickets.
Support on-call rotation and Emergency Change Requests when needed.
