Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the DLA IOEE/IOSEE program in Springfield, VA.

The role is hybrid, with required weekly office presence or as needed for mission requirements. You will design and implement technology refreshes, develop requirements from inception to completion, and manage tasks with regular status updates to leadership and the customer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Active Secret clearance with favorable Tier 5 investigation.
• Current IAT Level III, CCNP-E, and CCSA certifications required.
• Experience with Standard LAN/WAN protocols, BGP, MPLS and LDP in a service provider environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, perform, and document laboratory assessments of hardware and software for both classified and unclassified DISN services to ensure connectivity between DLA WAN, the DLA NOC, and DISA NOCs.
• Coordinate with government customer to create a Technology Assessment Plan (TAP) with objectives, scope, equipment, configurations, and responsibilities.
• Identify new network capabilities and develop evaluation criteria.
• Prepare After Action Reports documenting approach, results, recommendations, and rationale.
• Develop system evaluation methods and procedures.
• Produce documentation for executive briefings with recommendations.
• Ensure interoperability between DLA WAN and DISN equipment and services.
• Plan and track implementation tasks.
• Create configuration artifacts like maps, designs, test plans, and maintenance procedures.
