Job summary

Agile Defense, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to enable DHS mission networks. You will engineer, configure, and troubleshoot WANs, LANs, SD-WAN, VPNs, WLANs, and security perimeters in line with DHS standards.

You should have 10+ years of network engineering experience, strong Cisco and firewall skills, and experience with SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI or NSX. The role is hybrid in Ashburn, VA, and requires readiness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in MIS/CS/Engineering or related field with 10+ years in network engineering, or 14+ years without a bachelor’s degree.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPNs and VLANs.
Expertise with Cisco technology and Firewall technologies; firewall changes capability.
Hands-on experience with SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI or NSX; strong problem-solving skills.
High-level technical leadership to meet project goals.

Responsibilities

Engineer, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot WANs, LANs, SD-WAN, VPNs, WLANs and perimeter security.
Provide 24/7/365 on-call support for Tier 3 incidents within SLA; coordinate escalation.
Design and implement SD-WAN and cloud interconnects (AWS/Azure/GCP); support remote sites.
Maintain network diagrams, topology maps, SOPs, and change tickets (ServiceNow/Remedy).
Lead root-cause analysis and post-incident reporting for mission-critical infra.
