Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for the DoS Vanguard 2025 Program to support DT NO network operations. The role involves maintaining and integrating complex on-prem and cloud networks, with emphasis on performance, security, and reliability across DoS environments.

The position offers hybrid work (~3 days onsite) in Beltsville, MD or Springfield, VA, with responsibilities spanning design, troubleshooting, and coordination with architects and developers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a network engineering/computer engineering related discipline with 10+ years of IT network engineering and architecture experience.
• Expertise in scalable, secure, high-performance enterprise network architectures including LAN/WAN/SD-WAN and cloud-based solutions.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certification.
• Deep knowledge of routing, switching, VPNs, and security across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud networking services.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day operations and maintenance of network, cloud infrastructure, and voice components.
• Monitors and tunes network and cloud infrastructure to ensure performance and availability.
• Troubleshoots and isolates problems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Designs and documents network solutions to address operational requirements.
• Works with Architects to implement solutions within equipment and cloud service constraints.
• Develops contingency plans for hardware failures and cloud disruptions.
• Provides guidance to developers, operations, and management.
• Trains clients on operation and use of network systems and cloud architectures.
• Plans and evaluates new network equipment, cloud services, and related technologies.
• Designs hybrid cloud architectures integrating on-premises with AWS/Azure/GCP.
