Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Network Engineer 5 to join the Security and Electronic Systems unit.

The role focuses on designing, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial clients, with a 24/7 on-call obligation and potential leadership responsibilities. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in engineering/CS/IT and 10+ years of progressive experience, plus a SECRET clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, IT or related field; 10+ years progressive experience.
• Active SECRET security clearance is required for access to classified information.
• U.S. citizenship is required for security eligibility.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL concepts and network security implications.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports: translate measurements into actionable guidance for senior staff.
• Design and implement network services, equipment, and device configurations.
• Collaborate with field engineers to simulate system performance and provide feedback.
• Assist in identifying and resolving network security issues with senior engineers.
• Develop network designs for various SLA classifications and prepare design docs.
• Lead test planning, testing, and commissioning activities; create test reports.
