Job summary

M.C. Dean, a leader in Building Intelligence, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer 4 to design, implement, test, and maintain advanced network systems for federal and commercial clients. You will contribute to security, automation, and high-availability networks across complex facilities in Tysons, VA.

The role requires a bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience, with ITIL and cybersecurity expertise, plus strong collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CS, IT or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive network engineering experience.
• Solid knowledge of ITIL concepts and security implications for networks.
• Strong understanding of network technologies, tools and architectures.
• Experience with system development, project management and problem solving.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and STIG applications for networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports: present results in actionable form to senior staff.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
• Design network solutions for SLA classifications and project scale.
• Develop test plans, perform QA/QC, and review designs for safety and manufacturability.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and implement efficiency improvements.
• Support 24/7 on-call schedule; perform hardware/software upgrades.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist in bids/proposals; develop project docs.
