Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Network Engineer 5 to join our SES group.

The role supports the US Air Force Education and Training Center, focusing on designing, integrating, and maintaining electronic security and IT networks for federal, local, and commercial customers. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering/IT and 10+ years of progressive network experience, ITIL knowledge, and active SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline and 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts and security implications for network solutions.
• Strong understanding of network concepts, architectures, and tools; ability to design networks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports and measurement results for senior personnel and management.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
• Develop network designs for SLA classifications and prepare design documents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues; support 24/7 on-call schedule.
• Document procedures and assist in project planning, bids, and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with field engineers and other disciplines to ensure system performance.
