Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer 4 within its Security and Electronic Systems unit. You will design, engineer, integrate, operate and maintain electronic security services for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7+ years of progressive experience, with strong ITIL and network design capabilities. Expect 24/7 on-call support and collaboration with field engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology (IT) or a related discipline and 7+ years of progressive experience.
• Understanding of ITIL concepts and security implications for network solutions.
• Knowledge of network concepts, technologies, tools and philosophies, and ability to design an organization's network infrastructure and services.

Responsibilities

• Survey reports and measurements presented to senior personnel.
• Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment, and devices.
• Develop network designs for each SLA classification and prepare system designs and documents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues; perform maintenance and software/hardware upgrades.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist in bids; collaborate across disciplines.
