Job summary

Axon is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our Global Operations team. You will design, integrate, and implement our public safety products for clients in national first responders systems and government sectors worldwide.

You will ensure 24/7 service excellence across our networks. You’ll bring at least 3 years of hands-on networking experience, with core knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VPNs, and DNS.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years of hands-on network administration/engineering experience.
• In Office: this role requires you to be in office 4x a week in NYC.
• Responsibilities: Network deployment and Tier-3 support.
• Core Networking Knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VPNs, DNS.
• Hardware & Security Experience: Cisco switches/routers, Fortinet firewalls, and SD-WAN.
• Cloud Networking: AWS networking basics (VPCs, Direct Connect, Route 53).
• Troubleshooting Skills: analyze network logs, packet captures, root causes for production issues.
• Soft Skills: clear communication with team members and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead network projects, including establishment, upgrades, expansions, and migrations.
• Configure and maintain Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco switches, routers, and related equipment; perform security audits.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime.
• Manage production system upgrades and perform independent debug sessions in live systems.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve network challenges.
• Perform network deployments leveraging IaC tools and pipelines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
