Job summary

Axon is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join the Global Operations team. You will design, integrate, and implement public safety networking solutions for 911 and government sectors worldwide, delivering 24/7 service with high reliability.

Expect to deploy and support complex networks, work with AWS VPC and SD-WAN, and mentor junior engineers. This role emphasizes security, uptime, and cross‑functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a network engineer in critical service industries.
• Deployment, configuration and ongoing support of network infrastructure.
• Proficient in traditional and cloud networking concepts (AWS, VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Hands-on with Fortinet Firewalls, SD-WAN, Cisco switches and routers.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN and DNS.
• Experience with Git and DevOps tools (VS Code, Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab).

Responsibilities

• Lead network projects including establishment, upgrades, expansions, migrations.
• Configure and maintain Fortinet Firewalls, Cisco switches/routers, ensure security audits.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades in live systems.
• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and solve complex problems.
• Collaborate with vendors/service providers to resolve network challenges.
• Deploy network infrastructure using IaC tools and pipelines.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers.
