Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Network Connectivity (Go/Rust) to join the Egress team in a hybrid role across the Cloudflare network. You will design, build, and operate high-scale network software powering products like WARP and private-relay egress proxies, collaborating with multiple engineering teams and SRE for reliability.

You’ll work with Rust, Go, Linux networking, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes, and more while participating in all stages of the software

Qualifications

• Experience coding in Go or Rust and interest in both.
• Strong knowledge of OSI Layer 3-4 networking.
• Experience with HTTP, TLS, and CDN networks.
• Ability to design secure, highly available distributed systems.
• Proven debugging skills in large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design systems and write specs for network features.
• Write and push code and release plans; coordinate with teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure uptime.
• Investigate customer issues escalated to the Egress team.
• Support cross-team questions in internal channels.
• Leverage AI tools to analyze code and production data.
