Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for Network Connectivity (Go/Rust) in Austin, TX. You will contribute to the Egress team, building scalable network software that connects our vast product portfolio to destinations across Cloudflare’s global edge network.

You’ll work with Rust, Go, Linux networking, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Kubernetes, and more, collaborating with multiple engineering teams and supporting production deployments.”

Qualifications

• Proficient in Go or Rust and eager to work with both.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (Layers 3-4).
• Experience with distributed systems design and debugging.
• Familiarity with HTTP/TLS and CDN concepts.

Responsibilities

• Make daily progress on engineering tasks, including designing systems, writing specs, and deploying changes.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to share progress.
• Contribute to on-call rotation to maintain production uptime.
• Investigate customer issues escalated to the Egress team and resolve them.
• Collaborate with other teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate problem solving and code analysis.
