Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking an experienced NETA Field Service Technician, Senior to join our team. This role travels to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on 480 Volt to 600 kV electrical systems across Texas and bordering states.

Ideal candidates hold EPC or ABET-EE degrees, NETA III/IV or electrician license, 5+ years of switchgear testing, and strong Excel/PowerDB skills. Willingness to travel, pass drug/background checks, and meet safety requirements is

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC) or an ABET-accredited EE degree, or equivalent military training.
• NETA Certification (III or IV) or electrician license preferred
• Minimum 5 years of switchgear testing & troubleshooting experience
• Proficient PC skills including Excel; PowerDB experience a plus
• Ability to travel locally/regionally with overnight travel

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on HV electrical systems.
• Perform transformer and relay testing and related measurements.
• Calibrate relays and meter power for accuracy and reliability.
• Support on-site commissioning and emergency response as needed.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams to ensure safety and quality.
