Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician to join our team of electrical power system professionals. The role entails traveling to industrial and commercial sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage systems, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Candidates should have 5+ years of related experience, NETA certification or Electrician license preferred, and the ability to obtain required clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience performing switchgear testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to travel locally and regionally for customer sites.
• Proficiency with data entry and Microsoft Excel; PowerDB experience preferred.
• Knowledge of high and low voltage testing procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on electrical systems.
• Test power transformers, relays, switchgear, and circuit breakers.
• Perform routine instrument transformer tests and cable testing.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and documentation.
