Job summary

Shermco Industries, Inc. seeks a Senior NETA Field Service Technician to join its team of electrical power system specialists.

You will travel to industrial and commercial sites across the state to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage systems. Required are a related technical degree, NETA III/IV certification or electrician license, and 5+ years of switchgear testing experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Power & Controls or EE; ABET-equivalent preferred.
• NETA III/IV certification or electrician license preferred.
• 5+ years of switchgear testing & troubleshooting experience.
• Strong PC skills; PowerDB experience a plus; Excel proficiency required.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to electrical procedures.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally; occasional overnight travel.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites (industrial/commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, start-up and collect data on HV/LV systems.
• Perform transformer and relay testing; verify equipment operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot switchgear and circuit breakers; calibrate relays as needed.
• Coordinate with customers to schedule field service work; rotate on-call duties.
