Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician, Senior to join our team in US-TX-Abilene. The role involves field testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of electrical power systems at customer sites across the state and neighboring states.

The position requires at least 5 years of switchgear testing experience, NETA III/IV (or electrician license) and strong safety compliance. Travel, on-call duties, and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of switchgear testing & troubleshooting experience.
• EN/OSHA safety awareness; electrical safety procedures.
• Experience with data recording and report generation (PowerDB preferred).

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot and collect data on LV– HV systems.
• Perform tests on instrument transformers, power transformers, relays, cable testing, ATS, switchgear and breakers.
• Calibrate relays and meter power with attention to safety.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies as needed.
