Shermco Industries in Auburn, WA is seeking a NETA Field Service Technician, Senior, to join our team of electrical power system specialists. Qualifications include EPC or ABET EE degree, NETA certification, 5+ years of field testing experience, and strong PC skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Associate degree EPC or EE degree (ABET) or military training equivalent required.
• NETA Certification III or IV preferred or Electrician license.
• Proficient PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel; PowerDB a plus.
• Must be able to travel locally/regionally and be willing to overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Field Service Technicians travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (480 V to 600 kV) electrical systems.
• Able to travel to customer job sites across the state and bordering states.
• Perform instrument transformer tests and power transformer testing (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance, etc.).
• Test both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays where proficient.
• Perform cable testing (Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot).
• Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches and test low/medium/high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
• Calibrate relays and meter power as required; rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to emergencies.
