Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking an experienced NETA Field Service Technician, Senior, to inspect, test, troubleshoot and data-collect on electrical systems at customer sites across the region. The role requires travel to industrial and commercial sites and on-call readiness.

Qualifications include 5+ years in switchgear testing and testing experience, NETA Cert (III/IV) or electrician license preferred, and strong PC skills with Excel; PowerDB is a plus. U.S. work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Must have PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel; PowerDB a plus.
• Prefer an Associate's degree in EPC or EE degree from ABET accredited college; military training acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on HV/LV electrical systems.
• Test instrument transformers and power transformers (Doble, TTR, insulation resistance).
• Test low, medium and high voltage switchgear and breakers; calibrate relays and measure power metering.
• Rotate emergency on-call duty and respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
