Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join our ADM team in a hybrid role. You will develop, enhance and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Web API, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet client needs.

You will participate in reviews, testing and troubleshooting to ensure production stability, and work across overlapping time zones as needed. Prior banking domain experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of strong professional experience in backend development using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs and working with SQL Server.
• Experience using Git and applying unit testing practices in software development.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• Awareness of DevOps practices and experience supporting production applications.
• Experience in banking or financial services environments is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and application components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code while contributing to complex modules and existing application features.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve solution quality and production stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, support delivery priorities and resolve technical issues.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required by project and client needs.
