Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for client applications. You will work with cross-functional teams across the ADM group to deliver reliable, high-performance software in a hybrid US-based role.

Requirements include 5+ years backend experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET Web API, REST APIs, and SQL Server; familiarity with Git, unit testing, microservices, and cloud platforms. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating REST APIs and SQL Server.
• Experience with Git and unit testing practices.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud platforms.
• DevOps awareness and production support experience.
• Banking/financial services experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and application components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
• Write scalable, secure and high-performance code and contribute to complex modules.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve solution quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and support delivery priorities.
• Work independently while supporting overlapping time zones when required by project needs.
