Job summary

Cognizant seeks a Senior .NET Developer to design, implement and maintain scalable backend services and APIs for client applications. You will join the ADM team, collaborating with tech, delivery and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-performing solutions.

The role requires 5+ years in backend development with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API, REST APIs, and SQL Server, plus Git and unit testing. Banking experience is a plus; hybrid work in the U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
5+ years backend development experience with C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
Hands-on experience building REST APIs and working with SQL Server.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance and maintain backend services, APIs and components using C#, .NET and ASP.NET Web API.
Write scalable, secure, high-performance code and contribute to complex modules.
Participate in code reviews, unit testing and troubleshooting to improve quality and stability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and support delivery priorities.
Work independently while coordinating across overlapping time zones when needed.
